The Lyceum Personal Passion Project (PPP) Program

Turning Curiosity into Tangible Achievement

At The Lyceum, we believe exceptional students don’t just complete assignments — they think and create.

Our Personal Passion Project Program guides students through the creation of a meaningful, polished, and intellectually rigorous project that reflects their authentic interests while strengthening their academic profile.

This is not busywork.
This is legacy work.

What Is a Lyceum Personal Passion Project?

A structured 12–16 week guided mentorship in which students create a substantial, real-world project such as:

  • Writing and publishing a book

  • Creating a comic book or illustrated story

  • Building a website or app

  • Designing and launching a small business

  • Conducting original research

  • Developing a social impact initiative

  • Podcasts

  • Your Child’s Dream Project

Every project results in a tangible, professional outcome.

Why It Matters for Admissions

Top private schools, boarding schools, and colleges are looking for more than grades and test scores. They are looking for:

  • Intellectual initiative

  • Depth of thinking

  • Originality

  • Follow-through

  • Evidence of independent work

A completed Lyceum Passion Project provides:

✔A powerful portfolio piece
✔ A compelling essay foundation
✔ A clear demonstration of leadership and creativity
✔ A distinctive differentiator in competitive admissions

The Outcome
